Step 5. Verify your jacket selection or renewal
Step 6. Accept CSP Jacket Agreement
Step 7. Make additional purchases, donate to the Canadian Ski Council and/or purchase hard copy of the manual
Step 8. Pay via PayPal’s secure online payment system using your credit card, or your existing PayPal account

- Returning Patrollers – You must select a AFA/CPR course and a Diagnostic Testing Day. There is a 5 week course available which is recommended for 2nd year patrollers.
- Rookie Patrollers – You will have one course option to choose from which includes all your testing.
2019-20 Rookie Pre-registration
SPECIAL NOTE: If you are a new patroller this season, and
you have not yet pre-registered with us so that we can establish your National Database System (NDS) profile,
please follow the “Join” link on the ABOVE navigator bar to get more information about the
patrol, and follow the “Sign Me Up” instructions near the bottom of that page. Once we have reviewed your profile
we will activate it and send you a welcome email. You will then be able to register via the 2019-20 Registration tab
on this page.
The information you provide will be used by the recruiting officer to complete your application. All information
provided will be held in strict confidence and not given to any other organizations.
Once your pre-registration form is completed you will receive an email, confirming your pre-registration. You can
then return to this page and go to the 2019-20 Registration tab.

Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
All Kawartha Zone Patrollers will require a PVSC. It is necessary for the police check to be completed in the jurisdiction of your main residence in order for the vulnerable sector check to be valid. Kawartha Zone can provide you with a Volunteer Letter that may allow you to receive a lower price to get a PVSC completed by your local Police Services. If you require this letter please contact Scott Douglas at firstname.lastname@example.org to have this letter prepared and emailed to you.
Follow these instructions to link to our online registration process. In order to register online you will need to
have an active NDS profile i.e. a CSP ID Number assigned to you;
** New patrollers please follow the instructions on the “2019-20 Rookie Pre-Registration”
** Patrollers from another Zone wishing to transfer to Kawartha Zone, please contact your Zone
Administrator and request they transfer your profile to Kawartha Zone. We will then link your profile to your new
Kawartha Zone ID.
**Past Patrollers returning from a Leave of Absence or Sabbatical please send an email to our Registration
Coordinator and they will reactivate your profile and your patroller id number.

Registration Instructions: When you click the registration button below you will be taken to the
NDS to view and update your profile. After logging into the NDS, we ask you to review your profile and make sure
all your personal information is up-to-date. Once you have finished reviewing and updating your profile, please
select the “Update & Quit” button, you will then be redirected to the Kawartha Zone
registration site where you will need to login with the same CSP ID and Password that you used on the
SPECIAL NOTE: Instructor courses are labeled and should only
be selected if you are an active Instructor.
2019-20 Fee Structures
Fees for 2019-20 season have been set as
Prior to September 23, 2019:
Returning Patroller Fees New Patroller Fees Early Registration $220.00 Early Registration $220.00
On or After September 23rd:
Returning Patroller Fees New Patroller Fees Regular Registration $270.00 Regular Registration $220.00
2019-20 On Snow Rescue Program (OSR):
The OSR program can start at any time during the current winter season. The fee for the current season is $200 and
is not prorated, (ie whether you start Dec 15th or Feb 15th it is the same amount). These fees cover the current
winter season. Next fall you will need to register like all patrollers do each year and you will then be required
to pay for next season’s New Patroller Early or Regular registration fee depending on when you register.

A Minimum $25.00 cancellation fee applies.
- Refresher Course
- 100% (less cancellation fee) prior to the first day of training.
- 75% after the first night/day of training or prior to the end of the second week of training.
- 0% after the end of the second night/day of the training course.
- 100% (less cancellation fee) prior to the first day of testing.
- 50% (less cancellation fee) after AFATR testing and before diagnostic.
- 0% after completion of diagnostic testing
First Year (Rookie) Patrollers:
- All Rookie course formats
- 100% (less cancellation fee) prior to the first night /day of training.
- Subject to returning all unused supplies after the first night/day of training or prior to the end of the second week of training, 100% (less cancellation fee) and the cost of any supplies that are not suitable for return. (The first-aid kit is valued at $50.00)
- The only item that will be considered for reimbursement after this point will be the first-aid kit – $50.00.
On Snow First Patrollers:
You registration fee must be paid and your Liability Waiver handed in prior to testing
- 100% (less cancellation fee) prior to Ski Ability Test.
- 100% (less cancellation fee) if you do not pass the Ski Ability Test.
- 0% if you pass the Ski Ability Test and start toboggan training.
